The Gourmet Jar - Cooking delicious food has never been easier!

The idea for The Gourmet Jar (TJJ) came into existence in May 2009 in Villeferry, a small village in Burgundy, France, when Apeksha Jain was searching for banana jam there during her holidays. She liked that Banana Jam tasted extremely at her first bite.


Upon returning to India in 2010, Apeksha was running a food blog, and missing the taste of banana jam, and being passionate about cooking, she decided to try it herself. She got busy experimenting it in her kitchen, added some rum and cinnamon to her banana jam and the first batch of banana rum jam was ready.

After seeing the very positive response and demand from her family and friends she has experimented using more Flavors. Apeksha decided to turn her passion into a business and in 2012 “The Gourmet Jar” was born with the desire to use real ingredients to create real food in their home kitchen.

Apeksha explains, “At TJJ we aim to bring magic to your kitchen with our range of delicious condiments (preserves, honey, mustards, sauces, and delicious spreads) in unique flavour combinations. These products are handmade with 100% pure and natural ingredients, and 0% preservatives & chemicals. We follow a made-from-scratch, small-batch philosophy, that ensures every jar is packed with flavour.”

All TJJ products are made with great love, care, and attention by their team of smiling and hardworking women ensuring the perfect balance of taste in every jar. They source most of their ingredients from farmers across the country to ensure we use only the best quality produce.
